Cookie policy

The limited cookies and browser storage used on the Doctalis public website.

1. Current position

The public Doctalis website does not currently use advertising or audience-measurement cookies. It uses only limited preference and security storage needed to deliver the requested experience.

Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (Google LLC, United States): when a page loads, your browser sends your IP address and browser information to Google. The website itself stores nothing for this purpose.

2. Public visitor storage

The website may store:

  • doctalis_cookies: a localStorage preference that remembers that the privacy notice was dismissed, until you clear site storage;
  • strictly necessary Cloudflare or Next.js security/routing data when required to deliver and protect the request.

3. Doctalis application storage

The Doctalis application also keeps in your browser, without any tracking, the following storage. Its cookies (sign-in session, selected practice) are described in the cookie policy available in the application.

  • in local storage, a few technical preferences: language (doctalis:locale), selected practice (doctalis:selected-practice, doctalis:practice-selection-change), patient list sorting (doctalis.patients.sort), chosen microphone (doctalis:capture-microphone) and transcription preference (doctalis.transcription-pref);
  • in its IndexedDB browser databases (doctalis-capture-journal, doctalis-capture-vault), a recording not yet sent (network cut, tab closed), its audio encrypted with a non-exportable key specific to that browser, until our servers confirm receipt or, failing that, until Doctalis is first opened in that browser by a signed-in user after seven days without activity on the recording. When it can no longer be sent, the practitioner can also delete it from the consultation, and clearing the site data in the browser deletes it. Copies left unencrypted by an earlier version of the application are deleted under the same conditions.

4. Consent

Strictly necessary security and preference storage is used to provide the feature you request. If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies are introduced, they will not be activated before the consent mechanism and this policy have been updated where required.

5. Your controls

You can remove or block cookies and local storage in your browser. Doing so may make the privacy notice reappear, but the public content remains available. In the Doctalis application, clearing the site data resets these preferences, signs you out and permanently deletes any recording not yet sent from that browser.
